The historical materials of the Bellevue School of Nursing Alumnae Association include records about and from alumnae of the School of Nursing in New York, NY, photographs, student uniforms, and yearbooks. Of particular interest are photographs of Bellevue Hospital and the School of Nursing over the course of the School's history. The alumnae papers also include a fair amount of information about military nursing in World War II, especially the papers of Thelma J. Ryan. There is limited coverage of the Mills School of Nursing (for male nurses) and the Bellevue School for Midwives.
